I am licensed as a Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida, and certified nationally by the National Board of Certified Counselors. I am also certified as a practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), as well as a National Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist.
I am an active member of the American Counseling Association, the International Association for Eating Disorder Professionals, and the National Board of Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists.
I have extensive experience dealing with adolescents, adults, and seniors. I offer individual, couples, family and group sessions.
I consider myself a humanistic psychotherapist, who emphasizes the uniqueness of each individual, and through this uniqueness, I will help you to realize your own true potential. Since you direct therapy, several other modalities are used to meet your individual needs; for example, some issues are better dealt with by using cognitive behavioral or psychodynamic techniques.
I will provide you with a supportive, safe and non-judgmental environment in which you can work toward freedom from whatever has stopped you from finding the peace and contentment you deserve.
I see it as my responsibility to continue to learn new methods of helping my clients. As part of my continuing education I have studied clinical hypnotherapy, new advances in the field of eating disorders, exposure therapy for obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), dealing with grief and loss issues including survivors of suicide, depression and anxiety, and critical incident stress debriefing, as well as other clinical areas.
